Recycling Schedule

Material should be placed into a clearly marked recyclables container or bin.

                        Comingle

  • Soda/juice/water bottles (glass or plastic)
  • Plastic bottles marked #1-7
  • Aluminum and steel cans and foil
  • Food containers (cottage cheese, margarine, yogurt)
  • Milk jugs, bleach, detergents
  • Shampoo bottles
  • Glass bottles and jars (any color)

            Cardboard/Paper

  • Newspapers, magazines, catalogs
  • Telephone/Soft cover books
  • Junk mail/envelopes (all types)
  • Paper (all colors: staples/paperclips ok)
  • Paperboard (cereal/shoe boxes)
  • Milk/juice cartons
  • Cardboard/brown paper bags

                     What NOT to include

  • No plastic bags
  • No unmarked plastics (laundry baskets, chairs, toys)
  • No windows/lightbulbs
  • No dishes (Pyrex or ceramics)
  • No foam packaging or Styrofoam
  • No aerosol cans (paint, hairspray, cleaners)
  • No recyclables containing food waste or hazardous waste
